Wandering around the Youth Olympic Village are a bunch of volunteers from Earthlink NTU. Their job is to stop you dead in your tracks and get you to grin at the camera while clutching a sign. Your job is to pick out one of the few messages prepared by them or better still, write your own message and pose for the camera. As part of the Culture & Education Programme (CEP) of the Singapore Youth Olympic Games (SYOG), Earthlink NTU is working hand in hand with the organizing committee of SYOG to bring forth the environment message to the athletes attending SYOG. "Maintain the trees for the future generation", "More Trees = A Healthy Planet" Known as the Green Wanderers, they are one of the few environmental initiatives Earthlink is rolling out for the games. Each message written and photo taken is a reminder to everyone that we are the key towards a sustainable tomorrow. Follow us on YouthHabitat to learn more about some of the environmental happenings going on at the Youth Olympic Village! Click here to view the Green Wanderers photo album on Facebook! |
