On 3 September, we went to Lecture Theatre 7 for a 3 hour workshop on recycling and interpersonal communication together with our dear students from Outram Secondary School and Pei Hwa Secondary School. The workshop was conducted by a professional company and as we played along to their activities. We certainly learnt a great deal about recycling too!
The second part of the program was the actual collection of recyclables from the neighbourhood nearby. It was a sunny morning of 11 September and environment club members woke up extremely early to reach Fernvale to being operations for Recycling Outreach Program. Not long into 9am, our helpers from Outram Secondary and Pei Hwa Secondary appeared to kick-start the entire program. With high spirits, everyone had a short briefing and began moving to their respective housing blocks to collect their recyclables and educate the house owners about the importance of the recycling and what it can do for the environment.
While it was a long morning for all of us, we all had our fair share of fun and turns to be advocaters for the environment message.

The workshop with all of us!

Ready to go!

Look at the amount of recyclables that we collected!
