This event brought us to Macritchie Reservoir for a nature trek. Before the start of the trek, we walked from Marymount MRT Station to the Macritchie Reservoir instead of taking the public transport to further reduce our carbon footprint.

Upon our arrival at Macritchie Reservoir Park, we saw a few monkeys prowling around. Honestly, most of the participants have not seen such monkeys before, therefore it was quite an eye-opener for them.

We walked through the route that would lead us to different landscapes such as the secondary forest of MacRitchie and the reservoir itself.  The lakes were very clean and there were many people canoeing there. There are also many people doing trekking and jogging there. The lure of people to this place can be attributed to the serenity and natural beauty of the place. The trees are very tall and majestic. We learned that even a city like Singapore has its own original and beautiful nature, and this just not happen by chance, it is the effort made by man to preserve the nature. At times during the trek, worries about homework and assignments just disappeared into thin air.

With the beauty landscape scenery, we must all put in effort to preserve it by not allowing any trees to be chopped down or as an individual, not to litter the environment.
