Reporting to the Head of the Office of Environmental Sustainability, the Energy Management Officer’s (EMO) key responsibility is to manage, monitor and improve the energy performance of the ACMV systems on campus. He/she shall be competent in conducting regular energy audits, monitoring the energy consumption and implement strategies to optimise the energy system performances and reduce overall energy consumption. The EMO shall also be responsible for ensuring that new capital development works/major renovation works on campus adopt energy system best design/practises. Therefore the EMO shall be competent in reviewing energy system designs, counter-proposing alternative solutions that best meet NUS’ sustainability strategies and conducting post-construction commissioning to ensure that targeted system efficiencies are achieved.
Qualifications · Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical engineering – Major in ACMV systems · Hands-on experience in ACMV systems and energy audits · Good knowledge and experience in energy system best design/practises · Knowledge and experience in implementing alternative energy technologies and energy recovery systems preferred. · Superior communication, analytical and organizational skills · Extremely versatile and able to work independently and efficiently · Strong ability to work constructively with a wide range of partners Diploma holders with at least 5 years and above relevant experience and qualifications preferred.
