Sunday, 20 March, 2011, 8.0011.00 am at the Marina Barrage

The Singapore Environment Council (SEC) and Aveda Singapore are supporting PUB, the national water agency in commemorating 2011 World Water Day.

The AVEDA Walk for Water charity event is being planned to raise awareness of the importance of our water resources and to acknowledge the daily struggles of people around the world without access to clean water. The event would be a good opportunity for you and your organisation to be involved in supporting the Green Movement in Singapore. It is also a healthy, outdoor activity for the young and old, so please bring your family and tell your colleagues to do the same!

We hope you can help collate a list of all participants from your organisation, or ask your Human Resources Manager for help by making it an organisation-wide affair. You could register any number of participants for free, and we would be happy to welcome more than 100 participants from your organisation in support of this event.

Buses will be chartered to ferry participants from a central point to the Marina Barrage. Transport arrangement details will be made available at a later date to the appointed contact person from your organisation.

Participants at the Aveda Walk for Water 2011 will also receive a World Water Day T-shirt to wear to the event, a trial kit of Aveda's products and a goodie bag from PUB.

Click here to visit the Facebook event page.

Please forward your collated list of participants to Ms Helen Ho at email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or call 6337-6062 for more information.

We look forward to your active support and participation.

An Eco-Adenture Grouping in the Philippines; who cares more about the ecology and the culture of the indigenous people hopes to create a new kind of tourist; a traveler who would much rather stay in a hut than look for 5 star accommodations, who is respectful of local customs and traditions, someone who will readily eat the local food and drink, dance with the locals, and be mindful of the people and environment they are visiting.
