10 October 2010 aka 10:10:10 is a joint global event by 350.org and 1010global.org, encouraging everyone’s cumulative contributions to cut carbon dioxide by 10% starting 2010. The objective was to bring down the current 390 ppm of atmospheric carbon dioxide value to 350 ppm, the upper limit of carbon dioxide concentration for safety. In Singapore itself, the biggest celebration on 10:10:10 was namely Balik Kampung @ Bottle Tree Park, organized by GroundUpInitiatives (GUI).

In response to this mega event, 4 representatives of SP Environment Club came down to Bottle Tree Park to join the celebration day of climate change solutions. Firstly, they rejuvenate the symbolic botak tree back to healthy tree with many leaves during opening ceremony.

Then, their lucky booth no 21 had been transformed into a modified ‘snake and ladder games’ booth. With theme of carbon footprint, they educated public people of all age levels the significance of number 350, 390, and 450 (the level whereby ocean becomes too acidic and coral reefs start dissolving amongst other catastrophic phenomenon). Also, they learnt about carbon footprint, the cause and effect as well as solutions. Not only SPENV reps educating, even parents also explained the concept to their young children. SPENV reps and the gamers did have fun in games.
